Maxi skirt + T-shirt = pb&j paradise

By pb&j paradise I just mean they're a perfect match. ;) Speaking of peanut butter and jelly, I didn't used to like it very much until my sister in law made me one last summer... on toast, with raspberry jam.... now I get the metaphor. :)

When cute and comfortable get together, I'm all in.

I actually prefer skirts/dresses to pants and shorts because I just feel more comfortable in them. Maxi skirts especially. They're casual, breezy, modest and you can dress them up or down. And I love them with t-shirts.

Here's two examples of what I'm talking about:

skirt: target last year. (hard to see in the photo but it has really cute ruching detail along the line of the slit)

t-shirt: modcloth

sandals: urban outfitters (bday gift from my brother & sister)

necklace: j. crew (using a gift card from my mama)

What I love about the outfit below is that it is the same concept, and equally as comfortable, but the sequins on the t and pattern of the skirt dress it up a bit.

skirt: old navy, last year

top: Nordstrom rack two years ago (I think it was around $4. It has a super cute key hole & button detail on the back.)
